Job Role
Prepares metal fabrication quotations in Excel Spreadsheet by analysing Requests for Quote requirements, technical drawings and associated specifications.
Extensive metal fabricating blueprint reading and the ability to interpret and analyse specifications and tolerances.
Attention to detail.
Communication skills to interact with Customers, Suppliers, and co-workers.
Strong Knowledge of metal fabrication processes for Steel Furniture, Steel Handrails, Steel Pergolas, Steel Gates, Façade works
Compute costs by identifying materials, purchased items, fabrication processes and time requirements and established rates per Drawings, Specifications, and related documents.
Work with Purchasing Department to solicit and collect material costs.
Work with Engineering Department to identify optimal material utilization and fabrication methods.
Work with Production Department to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods.
Review design options and recommend best solution, select and finalize the systems
Calculate material quantity requirements and prepare material take-off
Prepare, finalize, submit quotations and obtain customer acceptance
Technical & Material submitting including Compliance statement, test certificates, sample boards etc.
Software Skills: AUTOCAD, Microsoft EXCEL, Solid Works
